driving on past Roda JC
By: Porter | January 23rd, 2009After defeating Feyenoord 3-1 and 3-0 this week Trond Sollied can now turn his attention to defeating Roda JC. However the Roda is always a tough club to face and it will be further challenged as Heerenveen are without Mika Väyrynen, who is under suspension and both Geert-Arend Roorda and Kenny Steppe are injured. Viktor Elm, who was overwhelming against Feyenoord (did I mention Heerenveen defeated them twice in five days?) could be out with the flu.
Roda stopped a two match slide with a confidence boosting 1-1 draw against tumbling PSV giving the manager Harm van Veldhoven reason for hope. He made no mistake with his goals for this match, stating:
“We’re going to Heerenveen tomorrow with the aim of winning.”
Roda will miss Vincent Lachambre, Dieter van Tornhout and Przemyslaw Tyton for the match.
